  • At Sovereign we have built our client base and reputation by providing a valuable service to the small to medium employer market, offering pension and employee benefit schemes with a difference: – and that difference is enhanced communication. We provide the right level of engagement and information to members of these schemes to allow them to make informed decisions, without overloading them with jargon. This dedicated and personal service is something we pride ourselves on, and something we believe underpins our success and has stood us in good stead for 28 years.

    We specialise in working with mid-market sized organisations who generally do not have a dedicated pensions or benefits manager. From experience, we have discovered that this market appears to be receiving a diminishing level of personal service from the larger consultancy firms.

    Our role is to take from our clients the burden of the day-to-day running of these schemes whilst being fully accountable for everything we do in the name and interests of both the company and member’s name.

    This isn’t a responsibility we take lightly and without good knowledge - we have been providing group benefit-related services for schemes since 1984, and in 1995, we launched our offering of administration services on a self-administered basis, encompassing accounting and actuarial services via trusted partners.

It was formed in early 2011 to acquire the existing business that had been developed through Church House Investments Ltd since June 2006. We have a highly-regarded and proven track record of experience at the top end of the market, providing a quality service to our clients, who in the majority are High Net Worth individuals who are Shareholding Directors of Family Businesses or Partners in Professional Practices.

    Our philosophy is proactive problem solving, and we work conscientiously with our clients and their professional advisers to find practical, tax-efficient and cost-effective solutions to develop and maintain a retirement strategy for each client’s bespoke requirements. As part of this, we believe in depth rather than breadth and clarity about what we offer and how we deliver it. Our client relationships are based on trust – we invest heavily in the relationships with clients and their advisers to ensure the highest levels of service and the best solutions.

    Our pedigree is second-to-none - with combined SSAS experience in excess of 55 years [SIPPs only started in 1995!], our aim at the very least is to be on the curve and wherever possible to keep ahead of it. The consultancy is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, Partner-led by Peter Burton and Joanne Linley and is totally fee based.

    Peter and Joanne have worked together with Tricia Robinson for more than 12 years in the ‘small schemes’ market place. They came together to join Church House Investments Ltd to follow the philosophy that is now being continued and developed by The Pensions Partnership LLP.
